Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) and Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) were outnumbered and outwitted at the end of the series' freshman season, and the two witnesses will need a little extra supernatural firepower as the Apocalypse draws nearer.

In an answer to the duos' prayers, Sleepy Hollow writers have concocted a new monster. Dubbed 'The Kindred,' this new baddie will hopefully stay under the sway of our protagonists.

"We're creating a new creature that our team kind of controls but doesn't," said executive producer Len Wiseman, according to TV Guide. "It's a dangerous creation that Headless will have to face ... that's as evil and scary as Headless."

To Frankenstein their helping hand, Crane and Mills will need to utilize Headless' skull. It's not like the Horseman is actually using it, is it?

It's sort of a doppelganger of someone you might've seen," said Roberto Orci, according to TV Guide. "Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire."
