One Direction hasn't released a new album in a few months, but information is starting to come out about what Directioners can expect next from the boy band.

What Is One Direction's Next Project?

Hot band The 1975 has already talked about working with 1D for their next album. Lead singer Matty Healy confirmed working in the studio with the British boy band. "I went into the studio with them and we started to work on one track," Healy told Digital Spy. "They were asked to list who they wanted to work with on the next album, and we were one of the people they chose."

Healy continued to say that the members of 1D are huge fans of The 1975. The 1975 had previously covered One Direction live and the boys of 1D even tweeted about the Chocolate singers, which "sent our fan base sky-rocketing."

One Direction has also been seen with Naughty Boy and Emeli Sande, which sent into fans into hysterics when Naughty Boy said that Zayn Malik was rapping in the studio. "Zayn's actually quite a good rapper, we've been in the studio doing some One Direction stuff, and he can spit bars!" the producer said. "Of course he can! Big up Zayn and his bars."

Malik went on to deny he'd be rapping on any new 1D album, however. "I'm not rapping; I don't know where that's come from."

One Direction is currently on the international leg of their Where We Are tour before hitting up the United States in August.
