As a high-profile couple, country superstars Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert spend a lot of time in the public eye.

When they're not coaching on NBC's The Voice or making the cover of Rolling Stone, the two return to their home in Oklahoma to just kick back and spend time with one another. "We just live really normal lives," Lambert recently admitted during her appearance on ABC's The View. Her and Shelton "plan date night" and try to relax.

"We cook dinner and back-road, or we watch a movie," Lambert explained, then explaining that "back-road" is just getting in the pick-up truck and driving around. They live In small town, and so they are able to indulge in the peacefulness of the area.

With their busy schedules, it is not always easy for the couple to get away, but they make time for it, either going to their place in Oklahoma or taking a boat out on Lake Texoma. The latter was actually Shelton's solution for Lambert's tour, deciding that when it was over he would surprise her with a little getaway.

A lot of celebrity couples have tried to give very similar "normal lives" speaches, and while Shelton and Lambert might not be as ordinary as they like to think, they do try to practice what they preach.

Shelton just finished on NBC's The Voice for the season and Lambert had been touring the country for to promote her latest album Platinum, which was released June 3.
