The Walking Dead Season 5 premiere is likely going to be a huge deal with new characters who are reportedly going to be joining the cast.

Season 5 Release Date Announced?

On Thursday, AMC TV posted an interview with producer Jolly Dale, who dished on what the biggest challenge was while working on the fifth season, which happened to relate to the opening episode.

"Well, you will eventually see that the Premiere episode is by far the biggest episode that we've ever done," Dale said. "So, getting it all together to make it come off as good as we want has been a huge task, but it's going to be amazing."

Actor Won't Be On The Series, Apologizes To Fans?

The producer then mentioned that despite not being allowed to talk about what's to come in the fifth season, fans who read the comics ought to have an idea on where the show will go from here. She also revealed that new characters are likely going to join the series, which will make some new changes.

"The way I see it is, we've killed a lot of beloved characters on the show, but that just opens it up for new story lines to come along," Dale said. "So don't be too sad about all the people who died in Season 4 because there will be way more characters to come."

The producer also said that if there's one character she relates to the most, it's Michonne.

"She doesn't make any apologies and it doesn't matter that she's a woman, but the fact that she is a woman makes her really cool," Dale said.

The Walking Dead Season 5 is expected to premiere in October on AMC.
