After it was reported that McBusted would open for One Direction on a few tour dates, a new report says that McBusted is actually working with 1D in the studio on their next album.

Why 5 Seconds of Summer Had To Leave One Direction Tour

After 5 Seconds of Summer had to back out of a few dates on the Where We Are tour, McBusted was chosen to fill in to open for 1D. Now, while working on their next album, One Direction has started recording with McBusted, which is a "super group" of McFly and Busted.

"We worked with McFly on the last album but now it's all about McBusted," Niall Horan told The Sun. "It's something really cool for me because the first gig I ever went to was Busted and McFly. [McBusted's] James Bourne is a really talented songwriter so it's exciting to have him as part of the mix."

This isn't the first information to come out about 1D's next album. It was also recently reported that the band was working with The 1975's lead singer Matt Healy, as well. "I went into the studio with them and we started to work on one track," Healy told Digital Spy. "They were asked to list who they wanted to work with on the next album, and we were one of the people they chose."

Fans also went into hysterics when they heard that Zayn Malik reportedly rapped on the next album! "Zayn's actually quite a good rapper, we've been in the studio doing some One Direction stuff, and he can spit bars!" producer Naughty Boy said. "Of course he can! Big up Zayn and his bars." But, Malik denied that his rapping skills would be used on the next One Direction album. Malik said, "I don't know where that's come from."
