The cast of CMT's Party Down South might know how to have a good time together, but their antics appear to continue not being welcome in the state of Mississippi.

More Cities Rejecting 'Party Down South' Film Crew?

Not only has the town of Ocean Springs voiced previous concerns over the show filming there, but they have now rejected an offer from CMT to fund a town tradition in exchange for allowing the show to film there.

According to WLOX, the town of Ocean Springs rejected an offer by CMT to pay $25,000 to fund a traditional Fourth of July fireworks spectacular that may not be happening, but both citizens of the town and the aldermen balked at the check.

Poplarville Mississippi Wants 'Party Down South' To Come There?

"I hoped we didn't do it. I'd rather have no fireworks. I mean, I'll go down to the beach and do sparklers with my kids myself," town resident Colby Kennedy said.

Alderman John Gill also balked at the offer, which came after the board of aldermen passed a resolution on June 3 which asked the production company not to consider the city as a filming location.

"it was kind of hypocritical for us to do that to accept their money, so we looked for single sponsorship," he said.

Sponsorship of $15,000 has already been achieved by one donation, with another planned donation in the works, officially keeping the offer from Party Down South from being accepted.

Though there have been no legal moves to prevent the show from filming in Ocean Springs, the town has not been keen on the idea of the show being there -- and they're not the only ones.

Gautier City has also passed a resolution asking the show not to film there as well, marking two cities in the state of Mississippi that have vocally objected to the show filming there.

The series follows the exploits of Josh Murray, Lyle Boudreaux, Walt Windham, Ryan "Daddy" Richards, Taylor "Lil Bit" Wright, Tiffany Heinen, Mattie Breaux and Lauren White as they spend a summer in a specific Southern city and party.

Party Down South airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. on CMT.
