It looks as though newlywed couple Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard are trying to set a good example for millions of young couples out there. The reality television stars are saving money by cutting back on big expenses in one very simple way.

Duggar recently posted a picture of her giving her new husband a haircut in the comfort of their new home. She wrote on her Instagram account, "Giving my man a haircut. #haircut #derickdillard #jilldillard #savemoneylivebetter."

Duggar, who recently officially changed her name to Jill Dillard, has been sharing her money saving tips on her social media account, by documenting trips to discount stores such as Wal Mart and Aldi along with some of her favorite recipes.

Meanwhile, the new reality television couple also opened up about their brief honeymoon trip to North Carolina, where the two enjoyed each other's close company for the first time.

"Every morning, we would wake up and go out and sit on the deck and listen to the waves," Duggar told People magazine in a new interview. "It was beautiful. It was very private without a lot of people there yet for the season. It was so relaxing."

But as far as babies, it looks like Duggar and Dillard are in no hurry as they're enjoying dinners "for two" now -- and that's it.

"I love to cook and have been able to do a lot of cooking," Duggar added. "Cooking for two people is a learning experience in and of it self."

Dillard proposed to Duggar back in March with their courtship airing on a special episode of the Duggar's reality television show on TLC, 19 Kids & Counting.
