Prince George landed the cover of Vanity Fair in honor of his upcoming first birthday. He appears on the August cover with his royal parents - Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Find Out Why Prince George's Birth Was The Biggest Story of 2013

Aside from the adorable cover, Vanity Fair contributing writer Katie Nicholl also included some interesting facts about Prince George. For example, baby George was colicky in his first few months and "cried loudly and frequently, and he was not sleeping through the night." However, the baby still managed to be on his best behavior during his public appearances, including the family's recent three-week royal tour in April.

William and Kate also reportedly want their firstborn to have a "normal upbringing." "They take George to play dates at the homes of friends, among them Kate's old Marlborough friend Alice St. John Webster, who has a baby several months older than George," Nicholl added in the piece.

There have been rumors that the royal parents are planning for a second child and, according to Vanity Fair's sources, the happy parents will try for their second child this summer.

Prince George was born on July 22, 2013 and a few months later was photographed at his christening. Middleton and her husband Prince William smiled from ear to ear at the October ceremony.

"It's very emotional," the Duchess of Cambridge said after her baby was born. "It's such a special time. I think any parent will know what this feeling feels like."
