Should fans be concerned for Jake Gyllenhaal? The actor has started to push his limits in Prisoners and Enemy, but his latest role may push him over the edge.

Jake Gyllenhaal Alyssa Miller Split: Distance The Reason For The Breakup Between Sports Illustrated Model & Actor?

In a video that surfaced on Sunday, Gyllenhaal is shown pitching for a job. The video came from a Craiglist post that advertises a hard-working man looking for a job. Too bad Gyllenhaal already has a job.

The actor is doing viral work for his next role in the movie, Nightcrawler. The Wrap said that film features Jake Gyllenhaal as a small-time Los Angeles criminal who gets a little too swept up in the nocturnal world of the city's crime journalism community for his own good. Other details about the plot are so far kept under wraps.

Ryan Gosling Pining For Rachel McAdams?

Within the ad, it states that Gyllenhaal is a "Hard Worker Seeking Employment." The advertisement also says, "no job too big or too small. I have my own car and phone. Persistent, punctual, polite and hardworking."

Gyllenhaal looks extremely thin in the video and it almost looks like a similar weight loss that actors such as Christian Bale went through for The Machinist, and more recently, Matthew McConaughey went through for Dallas Buyers Club. It looks like Gyllenhaal is committed to the role and that commitment plus the bizarre teaser is extremely interesting.

The film is written and directed by Dan Gilroy, co-writer of The Bourne Legacy, and brother of Tony Gilroy. The film shot last year, and hit Cannes this past May.

Nightcrawler co-stars Rene Russo, Bill Paxton and Riz Ahmed. Open Road Films will release the movie, having bought rights at Cannes earlier this year. The film is set for release on October 17.
