Last month, Anna Clendening took a stand against her anxiety disorder when she auditioned for NBC's America's Got Talent. Having made it through the audition round, the 20-year-old singer returned last night to show that success does not mean the struggle is over.

Performers Get Chance To Bypass Eliminations On America's Got Talent

Clendening astounded audiences with a breathtaking and highly emotional cover of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah during her first audition. While onstage, Clendening shared her story with the judges, explaining that she did not currently have a job because she'd been "bedridden" with an anxiety disorder.

The singer has suffered panic attacks since the age of 14, and in recent months her anxiety became so overwhelming she didn't know what to do. "It felt like my mind had given up on me," she explained, "It's just, I didn't see a future."

Clendening took a big step towards her "future" last night, when she performed an acoustic cover of Imagine Dragon's Radioactive (featured below). The singer almost couldn't get herself on stage and suffered a panic attack just moments before she was set to perform. Coaxed by other contestants, the singer got herself together and walked onstage in tears.

"Anna, I want you to know that we want nothing more than for you to do great," said judge Howie Mandel prior to this musician's performance, "we're all rooting for you and I just want you to relax... You wouldn't be here if you didn't deserve it."

Clendening pulled herself together and performed a unique rendition of the song, hitting all the right notes though moving somewhat quickly through the performance.

The singer will find out tonight whether or not she will be headed to Radio City Music Hall when the judges make their decision on NBC during tonight's episode.
