Just two days after Big Brother 16 contestant Frankie Grande learned that his grandfather had died, another houseguest is grieving the death of their own grandfather.

Derrick Levasseur was informed Friday night that his grandfather had passed away. Derrick emerged with a letter from his family and told his fellow houseguests about the news. As the houseguests offered their condolences, Derrick proceeded to grieve by himself in the Have-Not room.

Like Frankie on Wednesday, Derrick decided that it would be best to stay in the Big Brother house and continue playing the game. He told Hayden later in the night that he had come to the house in honor of his wife and his daughter and would continue playing the game in order to support them.

Also like Frankie, Derrick was able to record a video message to be played at his grandfather's funeral.

Several for Big Brother houseguests took to Twitter to offer their condolences and their thoughts on Derrick's grandfather passing.

Devin Shepherd, who was evicted third this season tweeted, "My condolences go out to Derrek and his family with the passing of his grandfather.. I'm in shock at the news this week..."

"Sorry to hear about ur grandpa derrick . A sad few days in the bb house," tweeted Big Brother 15 runner-up GinaMarie Zimmerman, adding a sad face.

Meanwhile, Big Brother 8 winner 'Evel' Dick Donato tweeted his shock at the news but soon said that he found it "weird" that neither Derrick nor Frankie was leaving the house, stating, "People care too much about $." He also clarified that he was not judging either of them for their decisions.

Big Brother 16 airs its next episode Sunday at 8/7c on CBS, featuring the Nomination Ceremony and the Battle of the Block competition.
