Nicole Richie returned to reality TV years after she made a splash on The Simple Life with co-star Paris Hilton. And, the 32-year-old is back and funnier than ever in VH1's Candidly Nicole.

A lot has happened in Nicole's life since her time on The Simple Life, which aired from 2003 to 2007. The fashion designer welcomed daughter Harlow Madden in 2008 and son Sparrow Madden a year later with husband/Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden. But, being a mom and a wife doesn't stop Nicole's party.

For example, on the second episode titled "How to Be an Adult," she promised to chaperone her teenage sister's party. She set the ground rules for Sofia Richie and her friends: "No drinking, no smoking, no doing drugs." Nicole no-no list also included some unusual party rituals. "No naked jump roping, no orgy hula hooping," she told her sister, who was clearly confused by the additional rules.

In order to ensure the party was properly supervised, Nicole invited her own friends. In minutes, Nicole went from the responsible chaperone to the ultimate party girl. She even sipped on a cocktail while she went down a slide into a pool.

Sofia and her friends appear to be astonished. "I'm not drinking after this," one of Sofia's friend said. "This is a good lesson."

Aside from Nicole's hilarious ways, the show also emphasizes a side of her that fans haven't seen - the overprotective older sister. And, that's one of the best parts of the show.

"Look, you've never done anything to show me that I need to be worried, but I just am. I just don't want you to end up being an idiot," Nicole told Sofia at the end of the second episode. "I can't just say OK to everything you do."

Candidly Nicole airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. EST on VH1.
