Ava (Maura West) may be able to pull off her grandest scheme yet on General Hospital.

Ava a Casualty Of Julian's Defiance?

The mobster once convinced Sonny (Maurice Bernard) she was on his side of the war so she could be with his son, Morgan (Bryan Craig), and the two bonded so well that Sonny killed A.J. Quartermaine for her, and they wound up having sex. However, their bond ended after Sonny learned she was the one who had killed Connie-and he vowed to kill her after she gave birth to the baby she claims to be carrying.

For protection, she went back to her brother, Julian (Michael DeVry), and promised she'd stay loyal to him this time. But now, after getting into contact with his boss, Luke (Anthony Geary), she could pull off a great scam that allows her to overtake both Julian and Sonny.

Nikolas Worries About Spencer?

"Julian!" Luke shouts from a video chat on Julian's computer, in a preview clip for the Friday, August 1 episode.

"It's not Julian," Ava replies with a smug look on her face.

While Ava may be good at scheming, one person who has proved to fail at them is Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), and her latest attempt to win back Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) may fail now that he has realized she knows where his missing son, Spencer (Nicholas Bechtel) is hiding.

"Where is he?" Nikolas demands of both her and Brad (Parry Shen) in the clip.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 2 p.m. on ABC.
