The last episode of So You Think You Can Dance? really lowered the boom on the dancers.

So You Think You Can Dance? Eliminates Two, Plans To Eliminate Four Next

Fourteen contestants entered the episode, but only the top 10 remained when all was said and done, with a whopping four dancers eliminated. It is unusual for so many dancers to go out in one night, but it went down last week. On Thursday, The Atlantic Wire reported on the four dancers that were eliminated.

All 14 remaining dancers were paired off, with three teams being sent to the elimination round where they would have to dance off to try and survive to see another week of competition. The three teams that were sent to compete solo were Emily James and Teddy Coffey, Jessie Richens and Casey Askew, and Carly Blaney and Serge Onik. After all was said and done, Emily, Teddy, Carly, and Serge were eliminated. Jessie and Casey are both in the top 10.

Cat Deeley Hints So You Think You Can Dance? May Be Canceled

Next week is All-Stars Week where 10 of the best dancers from the show's past return to pair off with the 10 remaining competitors from this year. The dancers have all been paired off already. The competitors will have to dance with people they have never worked with before, but if they want to win this competition, they will have to adapt quickly.

So You Think You Can Dance? airs Wednesday nights on FOX. Next week won't have quite the same major impact on the look of the show, but with each week there are less dancers remaining, and the action gets more intense.
