'Nashville' Third Season Gets Premiere Date

On Thursday, Taste of Country announced that Luke Bryan will be making his way onto the series for an episode that will air on October 1. There is no word yet on what kind of part it will be if it only consists of singing or will have more of a significance.

Some of Bryan's most famous hits include "Play It Again," "Thats's My Kind of Night" and "Country Girl."

Even though the ABC series is set to premiere its third season this fall, only so much information has been revealed on what might happen. Rumor has it that Gunnar and Scarlett could develop a new romance ever since Sam Palladio (Gunnar) dished on the connection the characters have.

"I think the two characters have had a deep connection that music is the catalyst of, so no matter what happens in their personal lives, when they come together and sing, that spark gets ignited again," Palladio said, posted on Metro.

The actor said that he has some confidence that Gunnar and Scarlett might find their way back to each other at least in some form.

"The fans love the two characters together and I'm sure that they will in one way or another come back together at least as musical partners," he said. "Whether it's anything more than that, we can leave that to the fans to speculate."

Nashville Season 3 is expected to premiere on Wednesday, September 24 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
