The third season of Nashville finally has a premiere date that might be sooner than some expected.

New Song On 'Nashville' Is A 'Special One'

On Tuesday, Hallels announced that the premiere date will be on Wednesday, September 24 at 10/9c on ABC. While a lot of television shows tend to premiere in October, this one will make it right before then.

As for how the story will go, there's a possibility that Layla might find a new romance with Jeff since that's something that actress Aubrey Peeples (Layla) would like to happen.

Is Charles Esten Scared Of Deacon's Destiny?

"I think that would be so fun. He's a lovely person," Peeples told Glamour. "I'm really hoping she takes a step back and looks at herself. She struggles with writing music, and I feel like she's gone through so much this season that maybe she'll go through a transformation with her music. I'm hoping something like that happens."

The actress also talked about the moment when she found out that Will was gay, and how challenging it was to go through that.

"We were so invested. We had been basically working our way up to that moment the entire season," she said. "Getting to it was so emotional already, and it just felt like the penultimate moment of the season, at least for my character. We could not stop bawling the entire time we were shooting. I think we took three hours to shoot that scene. It was a big moment."

Peeples also admitted that she does not know any specific details of what's going to happen in the third season.
