Boardwalk Empire returns to HBO for its fifth and final season in less than a month, and over the weekend the network released a new minute and a half trailer boasting plenty of violence, greed, reflection, and surprises to come.

With the series jumping seven years ahead onto 1931, the trailer gives noticeable screen time to Lucky Luciano (Vincent Piazza), who rose to power during this time. "There's better ways of doing things," declared Luciano during the opening of the trailer. Not only was he the first face revealed, but also the first to speak.

"Run it like a business," he continued, "It's about all of us working together, go anywhere in the country same understanding, same rules. Change is coming."

The "change" Luciano is referring to is of course the rise of organized crime, of which he was one of the primary pioneers.

Second to Luciano in the trailer was the drama's leading character Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi), who will be facing a great deal of change with the end of prohibition and the possible return of his estranged wife Margaret Schroeder (Kelly Macdonald), who was seen briefly in the trailer potentially surprising someone as she turned on a light to reveal that she'd been sitting quietly in the dark room.

The trailer also suggested this season will be heavy on the flashbacks, cutting between Buscemi's Thompson and the bootlegger as a boy. With fast paced cuts, plenty of guns, and more than a few risque women, the prohibition drama is certainly looking to live up to this season's tag line: No one goes quietly.

Boardwalk Empire returns to HBO for a fifth and final season on Sunday, September 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
