The New York Daily News reported that DiMichele was sentence to four years probation yesterday. DiMichele then apologized for her part in the case.

"I knew that my husband and his partners were doing something wrong and I helped them," she said in Brooklyn Federal Court, where she reportedly read from a prepared statement. "This is not who I am and I can't even describe how embarrassed I am to be standing here today."

The New York Post reported in early July that DiMichele had come to a restitution deal. DiMichele was charged with her husband Edward "Tall Guy" Garofalo for taking union pension funds from the now defunct New Jersey trucking company they used to run. Garofalo was sentenced to seven years in jail.

The star faced up to six months in jail, but judge Sandra Townes gave her a warning along with the probation, saying she "didn't want to see her again."

"She is a loving mother," said defense lawyer John Wallenstein. "She's effectively a single mother because Mr. Garofalo is a guest of the government."

After her sentencing, DiMichele tweeted a photo of her boys and wrote, "My Boys were waiting by the door for me to come home and hug me after hearing the good news about my sentencing."
