Fans of pro dancer Tony Dovolani from ABC's Dancing With the Stars do not have to worry about him electing to leave the show anytime soon - unless his wife tells him otherwise.

Dovolani spoke with Gossip Cop recently, saying that while he may no longer be a "spring chicken" he still gives it his all on Dancing With the Stars.

"The moment that my wife [Lina] tells me I don't have it anymore is probably the moment I quit."

"She's my honest opinion," he revealed. "When she looks at me and says to me, 'Honey, it's time for you to step aside and let the other ones take it,' then I'll stop."

Dovolani and wife Lina have three kids and are based in Connecticut.

As far as what he's hoping for in Season 19, the upcoming fall edition of the show, he said he wants someone who actually wants to be participating.

"I want somebody that wants to be there, and that's prepared themselves a little bit," he tells Gossip Cop. "Obviously I get a lot of the interesting folks as my partners and I don't mind it because that's my personality. I have the patience. I can put up with a little more crap, or whatever you want to call it, than other people."

Dovolani had some difficult partners during the past TV season, dancing with actress Leah Remini in Season 17 and hot-tempered reality star NeNe Leakes in Season 18. He was not able to reach the finals with either celeb, but that may change in the fall season.

Dancing With the Stars Season 19 is set to premiere Monday, Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. The network is also planning a separate results show for the first two weeks of competition, to air on Tuesday.
