Kevin Hart has had enough of critics accusing him of being shady for proposing to his now fiancée the same night his ex-wife, Torrei Hart's show Atlanta Exes, premiered on VH1.

He took to his Instagram Wednesday in hopes of setting the record straight against speculation that he tried to overshadow her reality TV debut. The Let Me Explain comedian shared a picture of his fiancée Eniko Parrish's hand over his, showing off her new diamond engagement ring.

He let his fans and nearly eight million followers know in the caption that he wasn't thinking about his ex-wife's premiere. Instead, he wrote that he wanted to pop the question on his longtime girlfriend Parrish's 30th birthday, which just happened to fall on the same day.

He added that he doesn't have any ill will toward Torrei but simply wanted to make his girlfriend have an unforgettable day.

August 18th was actual Birthday...it wasn't the day before or the day after. I will say this one more time & never repeat myself again....
