FX has debuted the latest trailer for American Horror Story: Freak Show, and it's offering viewers an intriguing "taste" of the new season.

The new teaser trailer is titled Lick and features a man licking a lollipop in extreme closeup. However, it is soon revealed that the man has a forked tongue. The logo for American Horror Story: Freak Show then flashes, along with the Oct. 8 premiere date.

Lick is the second teaser trailer released for Freak Show after the first Admit One trailer, which features a deformed hand extending a ticket to the freak show.

American Horror Story: Freak Show is the fourth installment in the horror anthology series after the first season, later retitled Murder House, the second season, Asylum, and the third season, Coven.

Set in 1952, Freak Show centers on one of the last freak shows in America, living in the quiet town of Jupiter, Fla. Jessica Lange is set to play Elsa Mars, a German expatriate who "saves" various outcasts and puts them in her freak show.

Among those set to play "freaks" are Sarah Paulson, who is playing the two-headed Dot and Bette Tattler, Kathy Bates, set to play Effil Darling, Evan Peters, playing Effil's son Jimmy Darling, Angela Bassett as Desiree Dupree and Frances Conroy as an unknown performer.

Many AHS regulars are returning, along with Lange and co., including Emma Roberts, Gabourey Sidibe, Jamie Brewer and Denis O'Hare. There will also be new additions to the series, including Michael Chiklis as Effil's ex-husband, Desiree's husband and Jimmy's father, John Carroll Lynch as Twisty the clown killer and Patti LaBelle as the mother of Sidibe's character.

American Horror Story: Freak Show is set to premiere Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 10 p.m. on FX.
