The plot descriptions for the first two episodes of The Big Bang Theory's eighth season have been revealed and it seems that there will be some tension between two of the female characters.

CBS sent out a press release describing the first two episodes for Season 8 of the massively successful sitcom, which will air together as a one-hour premiere event.

The first episode is titled The Locomotion Interruption and comprises of the following:

"Leonard [Johnny Galecki] and Amy [Mayim Bialik] take an unexpected road trip to Arizona to pick up Sheldon [Jim Parsons]. Meanwhile, Penny [Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting] interviews for a job at Bernadette's [Melissa Rauch] company, and Howard [Simon Helberg] is weirded out by Stuart's [Kevin Sussman] relationship with Mrs. Wolowitz."

It appears that Sheldon really did take the train out of Pasadena, which was presented at as a cliffhanger in the Season 7 finale. Meanwhile, Penny is changing her career and is about to run into some conflict with Bernadette, based on the synopsis for the next episode.

Episode 2 is titled The Junior Professor Solution and will feature these plot lines: "When Sheldon is forced to teach a class, Howard surprises everyone by taking it. Meanwhile, the tension between Penny and Bernadette gives Amy a chance to play both sides."

These episodes will air in a one-hour block on Monday, Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. on CBS.

Parsons is just coming off his fourth victory at the Emmys this week. Monday night he won the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for the fourth time in five years. This puts him in the same record as Michael J. Fox, Kelsey Grammer and Carroll O'Connor for most wins in the category of all time.
