After the summer finale of Covert Affairs aired, a million questions have been going around involving what's up with McQuaid and who was behind the Chicago bombings; now it looks like some theories have been revealed.

Will Ryan Be Killed Off 'Covert Affairs?'

On Tuesday, Entertainment Weekly posted an interview with executive producers Matt Corman and Chris Ord who dished on what's to come next. Some are probably wondering if it was Aleksandre Belenko was the one behind the bombings. Even though that answer hasn't exactly been confirmed, this character won't be leaving anytime soon.

"There's an international end there where you see Annie staring daggers at Belenko on the screen [in McQuaid's hospital room]," Ord said. "In many ways, this episode was not only a finale to our summer season, but was intended to Belenko as a character who we will definitely be seeing a lot of later."

Chatter On Annie Catching Ryan Speaking To Mysterious Man

One moment that left audiences in suspicion was when Belenko spoke to someone on the phone about the target that was missed. There's no word on who the identity of that target was supposed to be, but it will definitely be someone that no one saw coming.

"Who the target really was will come as a great surprise and an amazing big twist in the life of our show," Corman said. "So in the back six episodes [of season five], the onion will be peeled back."

Covert Affairs airs on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on USA.
