The stars of Terminator: Genisys might be battling guns and indomitable machines on screen, but off screen the ice bucket challenge can be a real threat. Most of the main cast members and some of the crew braved the chill for a good cause.

Terminator: Genisys To "Remind Fans Why They Fell In Love" With The Original  

The stars who took the challenge at the behest of David Ellison the producer of Genisys include Emilia Clarke, who plays Sarah Connor in the movie, Jai Courtney, who stars as Kyle Reese, Matt Smith, who might be playing a younger John Connor. Ellison nominated the three from the Terminator team for the freeze off. All three actors honored Ellison's request.

The filming for Terminator wrapped on August 6. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is reprising his role as the iconic cyborg in the movie revealed they were done filming, with a thank you note to the director, producers and crew of the movie.

The movie is being directed by Alan Taylor and is scheduled for release in July 2015.
