It looks as though the Real Housewives of New York might be on the chopping block all together, as Bravo exec Andy Cohen is reportedly trying his best to save the show. According to a new report, Cohen is taking the reins once again and is hoping to both save the show and boost its ratings before it gets cancelled for good.

Ramona Singer Finally Apologizes To Kristen Taekman

The New York Daily News reported on Friday that Bravo is beginning Cohen to return to the struggling franchise, which has seen ratings plummet from 2 million viewers to 1.3 million in the past season.

A source tells the web site, "LuAnn is back for sure. They are now negotiating her fee. Last season The Countess was paid a day rate every time she filmed as a 'friend' on the show. Plus, she got a bonus if her scene made it into the series."

The source added, "Carole is also safe. She is a dear friend of Andy's and has formed a genuine friendship with Heather Thomson. This is what the show is looking for. They want genuine relationships and drama, and want to stay away from anything the ladies 'stage' to make good TV - such as throwing an artificial leg."

Just recently, there was speculation that the entire cast was blaming each other for last season's disappointing ratings.

"All of the ladies are blaming each other for the dismal season," a source close to the situation told Radar Online back in June.

"The ratings are low and fans just don't seem to care about any of the fights. Not Aviva and Carole in 'Bookgate' or that 'glass' being thrown in Kristen's face by Ramona," the source explains. "Nothing is working to keep people interested and the viewers are just tuning out. It's been boring."
