In an interview dated September 1, actor Irrfan Khan dished about his experience filming for Jurassic World and the nature of his role in the film.

Jurassic World Storyline To Be Very Different From Previous Movies In Franchise

Speaking to First Post, the Indian actor revealed that he felt right at home filming for the fourth instalment of the iconic-dino franchise.

"It was so much fun," said Khan. "Though it is a huge epic project, everyone on the crew was so relaxed. There was no attempt to appear self-important. Throughout the shooting there was a sense of playfulness in the atmosphere. I felt completely at home and we wrapped up the film in record time."

Jurassic World Will Address How "Society Has Changed Since The Original Came Out"

He also spoke about how enriching it was for him to be working with director Colin Trevorrow

"Just observing him at work I felt so much richer," he added.

Although little has been revealed about Khan's role, it is believed that he will be playing a villainous part. His character is suspected as being the probable head of the corporation that runs Jurassic World. In the report dated August 13, it was revealed that Khan's character's name was Masrani. So Masrani corp owns the dinosaur park. This is still being contended with the character previously being called Patel.

Khan did not give too much away about his character. "I am very happy with what we've shot," he said. "How the role finally shapes up depends on so many things. I appeared for much less screen-time than I had shot for in Slumdog Millionaire and Spiderman. But that was for the betterment of the final product. No one in the West is waiting to upstage me or sabotage my career."

The Jurassic Park films are based on Michael Crichton's series of novels about pre-historic beasts being revived by revolutionary gene technology. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are co-producing the film alongside Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two installments in the franchise. Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Khan and Ty Simpkins star in the movie.

The film will hit theaters on June 12, 2015.
