The Amazing Race is known for providing teams who choose to compete with an interesting set of obstacles to overcome, but Soul Surfer inspiration Bethany Hamilton and her husband Adam Dirks don't appear too worried about the challenged they may face on the upcoming season.

In a pre-race interview with CBS, the couple talked about what they hoped to accomplish while racing around the world together-and acknowledged that things could be interesting for them because of Bethany's disability as a result of a shark attack which saw her left arm being removed as a teen.

"One thing that makes me nervous is that when you get to a roadblock, is that you read a clue and you're not always completely clear on what you're doing," Hamilton said in the clip. "So I think sometimes only having one arm, we'll have to be really picky on which roadblocks I do and which roadblocks Adam does. And hopefully, I would rely on the help of another team, or maybe I'll get creative. But sometimes there's things that physically it's just really challenging."

And though she expressed nervousness about potentially encountering tough Roadblocks, her husband is confident that the way the couple interacts with other people will help them as they go through the challenges.

"We're definitely not stand-offish, so I think bringing in friends from other teams and whether that turns into alliances-that'd be cool, but we're just going to take things as they come," he said. "That's definitely one of the strategies that we're going to hold."

But even though the two are going to try and forge some friendships along the way, it doesn't mean fans should count them out when it comes to being competitive, ad Dirks assures fans they still have their eyes on crossing the Finish Line first and winning the $1 million.

"We see this challenge ahead of us and both of us want to conquer it," he said. "And it'd be something that we'd both be super stoked and super proud of, to say we won The Amazing Race, and we're going to do everything in our ability to make it happen."

The Amazing Race premieres Friday, September 26 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
