Deeks and Kensi had a very intimate conversation during season 5 of NCIS: Los Angeles, but the Densi scene was left on the cutting room floor.

The deleted scene was released with the season 5 DVD in August, and it shows what could have happened when Kensi (Daniela Ruah) went home with Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) at the end of "Recovery." Filmed as a flashback scene, the clip was intended to air during "Spoils of War" and also includes a brief glimpse at Kensi's torture scene.

In the flashback, Densi seems on the verge of answering the did they/didn't they question as they lay in bed, kissing. The pair seems equally unsure about whether or not they should proceed, and Deeks actually confesses his true feelings for his partner (see video below).

"What are you doing to me, Deeks?" Kensi asks, slightly tearful, as she reaches up to kiss him.

"Falling in love with you," Deeks replies, just as Kensi is jolted back into reality by her captors.
