Ryan Gosling could become a father any day now, but it doesn't mean one of his ex-girlfriends isn't trying to rekindle their one-time romance.

According to the newest reports, Rachel McAdams, his co-star in The Notebook and his own self-professed "great love" is still devastated over the news that he and Eva Mendes are expecting a baby together-but she isn't necessarily going to let the news discourage her, as her ex reportedly has no plans to marry the mother of his child.

Hollywood Life first reported on the news that McAdams was devastated by the pregnancy shortly after it was revealed to the world, and said that McAdams and Gosling had split back in 2007 because she wasn't ready to have children with him at the time-and that now this was a huge blow to her heart.

But, the website reported, Gosling didn't think marriage was in his future with Mendes either.

"Ryan doesn't think they need to marry just because they are having a baby," a source said at the time.

But more recently, it was reported that Gosling does in fact intend to marry Mendes-and she has been the one resistant to the idea. Back in August, Star Magazine (via Celebrity Dirty Laundry),the on/off couple. Who have been together since meeting on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines three years ago, are actually in therapy, in a last-ditch attempt to save their relationship as they prepare for their new baby.

The report claimed that the actor wanted a more traditional relationship with his girlfriend, but she continually refused to marry him, leading to their numerous splits over the years. However, after she got pregnant shortly after they reunited after a split last fall, they decided to continue working on their differences and issues while in therapy. And the ultimate goal is reportedly to have Mendes finally agree to marriage in order to provide a more stable family for their child.

Regardless of what the couple's future holds, and if there's even a glimmer of a chance for a Gosling/McAdams reunion, his baby with Mendes is reportedly due within the next month.
