They were reportedly feeling happy and blessed over their pregnancy news, but explosive new allegations claim Ryan Gosling is anything but joyful about having a child with girlfriend Eva Mendes.

According to The National Enquirer, the Lost River director actually feels trapped in his relationship because of the news, and had every intention of ending things for good before Mendes revealed she was expecting.

"Ryan was surprised, especially because they had broken up early last year, only to get back together," a source told the tabloid.

The couple, who has reportedly been on and off for their entire three-year relationship, has exhibited tension for various reasons-including Gosling's alleged lack of commitment, and a fervent The Notebook fanbase which continues to try and reunite him with ex-girlfriend Rachel McAdams.

The latest drama surrounding his ex came from the film's director Nick Cassavetes, who recently revealed that Gosling and McAdams feuded so badly on set that Gosling tried to get her kicked off of the movie-news Gosling was reportedly unhappy to hear had broken.

"Ryan called Nick and voiced his displeasure about him talking about his ex-girlfriend," a source said about the incident. "Rachel is definitely a source of ongoing tension between Ryan and Eva."

The couple could also be clashing over their reported plans to marry. Gosling reportedly never intended to commit to Mendes that way, but decided to do so for their unborn child-but the two seem to have a very different vision when it comes to their nuptials.

While the couple reportedly agrees about keeping things small and including no guests at the rumored wedding ceremony, they reportedly want extremely different locations for tying the knot.

While Mendes reportedly wants a secluded ceremony on a beach somewhere, similar to how Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green married in 2010, Gosling refuses to travel.

"He wants a registry office in New York or LA. He doesn't want to travel," a source told Heat magazine. 

The clashing is allegedly also getting so bad that it has affected Mendes' health, forcing her to remain on bed rest in the final months of her pregnancy.

"Eva is constantly tired. All she wants to do is rest, so she's following her own instincts-as well as expert advice-and spending most of her time in bed, which she intends to do until the baby arrives," sources said.
