Things are starting to look up for The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe Giudice as they settle their multi-million dollar bankruptcy case just weeks before they are scheduled to be sentenced for fraud.

According to Radar Online Wednesday morning, the couple has made amends with their debt after they filed for Chapter 7.

John W. Sywilok, the trustee that handled the case, filed the papers in New Jersey on August 27 that confirmed they have paid off more than 45 creditors. They owed $13,48,263.11.

They were able to knock off $15,000 from the price tag after the trustee sold furniture and other household goods. Fortunately for the reality stars they were able to hang on to their multiple homes as the trustee did not find any worth in them. The same holds true for their luxury cars such as 2007 Cadillac, Kawasaki Quad and even a 2005 Maserati.

Sywilok said, "The case is fully have been properly accounted for as provided by law. The trustee hereby requests to be discharged from further duties as a trustee.

The judge still has to sign off on the case actually being closed. But according to the site that should not be an issue and the Giudices will be able to say they are bankruptcy free in no time.

But they are not completely out of the water yet. They are slated to be sentenced for federal fraud charges on September 23. Joe could get up to 46 months behind bars and deported back to Italy after serving his sentence. Teresa is looking at up to 27 months.They pleaded guilty to several charges including tax evasion and loan fraud.
