They spent only five months planning their nuptials, but Donnie Wahlberg has no regrets about marrying Jenny McCarthy so soon after becoming engaged.

In fact, the New Kids on the Block singer and Blue Bloods actor tells ABC news that their August 31 wedding was actually very exciting-and he's still recovering from the overwhelming ceremony and reception.

"It [was] very fun, very exciting, still recovering," he said while talking about a recent collaboration he has had with Cannon to help further his passion for photography. "All of it, it was just really great."

Wahlberg and McCarthy married August 31 at a hotel just outside her native city of Chicago, after fist becoming engaged in April.

And though he is just getting into photography now, the 44-year-old admits that getting into the form of art is something that is helping him bond with his kids.

"My younger son [Elijah, 13,] is very interested in art and photography already. He can help me and it's something we can do together," he said. "As I've gotten older, I've sort of slowed down and am more interested in capturing moments myself."

And though he and McCarthy likely hired someone to capture their best moments at their nuptials, Wahlberg admits he doesn't need a photo to remember one specific image from his wedding that involved his now-wife and her son, Evan.

"I think seeing Jenny come down the aisle with her son and hearing my son's toast were probably two of the highlights for sure," he said.
