Actress Lindsay Lohan had a car accident with the rented black Porsche she drove during her recent incident on the Pacific Coast Highway.

The 26-year-old was driving in Los Angeles following her shopping spree at a Chanel store in Beverly Hills, when she hit the back of a silver Foster Mustang that was waiting at a red light on Sunset Boulevard.

According to X17online, their photographers witnessed the accident and considered it a minor one. "Lindsay was NOT driving dangerously -- it was merely a minor accident in bumper-to-bumper rush hour traffic in the Sunset Plaza neighborhood," said the source.

The unidentified woman who was driving the Mustang with Nevada license plates told TMZ, "We were sitting at a light and somebody hit us."

Lohan's personal assistant Gavin Doyle gave his phone number to the female driver and suggested they leave immediately because Lohan was being followed by paparrazi.

The couple in the silver Mustang later met with Lohan and Doyle at the Charteau Marmont Hotel. The two pairs exchanged information in the hotel's lobby.

Lindsay had another car accident last month on the Pacific Highway with the same rented Porsche where she hit another vehicle. The car's rear bumper was taken off and a passenger window was smashed as a result of the incident. Lohan went to the hospital but did not have any injuries.

The "Mean Girls" star blamed the accident on mechanical failure.

Lohan just completed filming the Elizabeth Taylor biopic. She is currently shooting "The Canyons" with porn star James Deen.
