As filming for Jurassic World is through, all manner of new spoilers have been surfacing, and the latest suggest that the male lead of the movie, played by Chris Pratt, will be battling a new breed of the T-Rex in the fourth instalment of the dino franchise.

Judy Greer's Jurassic World Character Details Revealed

It was recently revealed that the new villainous dinosaur will be a mutant breed, called the Diabolous Rex, and it seems like Pratt's character will have to tackle the monster. A new report by Movie Pilot actually sets Chris Pratt against the new anatgonist.

It had previously been rumored that a new breed of dinosaurs, which will be created by fusing DNA of various species would be a hybrid of a snake, cuttlefish and T-Rex. Director Colin Trevorrow revealed that while it was true that there will be a new dinosaur, he clarified that it would not be a "mutant freak" as had been suggested in speculative reports.

Jurassic World To Pay Tribute To John Hammond From Original

"We were hoping audiences could discover this on their own, but yes, there will be one new dinosaur created by the park's geneticists. The gaps in her sequence were filled with DNA from other species, much like the genome in the first film was completed with frog DNA," he said. "This creation exists to fulfill a corporate mandate-they want something bigger, louder, with more teeth. And that's what they get."

Trevorrow spoke about Pratt's character in an interview in May, revealing that Pratt's character, Owen, will be responsible for doing behavorial research on the dinosaurs.

"Chris Pratt's character is doing behavioral research on the raptors. They aren't trained, they can't do tricks," he said. "He's just trying to figure out the limits of the relationship between these highly intelligent creatures and human beings. If people don't think there's potential in those ideas, maybe they won't like this movie. But I ask them to give it a chance."

Jurassic World will star Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy and Irrfan Khan.

The Jurassic Park films are based on Michael Crichton's series of novels about pre-historic beasts being revived by revolutionary gene technology. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are co-producing the film alongside Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two installments in the franchise.

The film will hit theaters on June 12, 2015.
