News it could be returning to TV in a revival blew up the internet in August, but some fans may not be that excited to see a revival of Full House in the works.

Dave Coulier Cautions Against Excitement For A 'Full House' Revival

A new article on The Elkhart Truth maintains that the show should stay in the 90s, and shouldn't be revived-no matter how successful reruns of it have done during primetime television hours.

Citing a disconnect between fans of the original Boy Meets World and that show's recently successful reboot, Girl Meets World, the article claims that nostalgia alone isn't enough of a reason to bring a show back, as the passage of time since these shows last aired has not been enough to still connect with the now adult fans who watched the shows religiously as kids-and the characters these fans loved are no longer enjoyable to watch.

Bob Saget Says Not 'Everyone' Would Want To Come Back For Revival

"...Cory and Topanga were wonderful to watch as kids and students, but they aren't as relatable as adults," the article states about what doesn't work for Girl Meets World. "Not everyone who watched Boy Meets World is at the stage in life where kids are on the horizon, much less in middle school-which is where Riley is."

"This is probably why Friends will never return," the article continues. "As much as fans clamor for a reunion, co-creator Marta Kauffman as made it clear the show is about being in your 20s-when your friends are your family-so a movie reunion will never happen. Chandled and Monica had a family at the end of the show's 10-year-why would we want to watch that?...That's why Full House shouldn't be revived."

Most importantly, the article argues, is that fact that all Full House may have going for it is the nostalgia factor-which might mean good ratings on the re-runs, but won't likely translate well to a grown-up audience."

"If you are going to bring a TV show back, it needs to have value and purpose. Besides nostalgia, a Full House revival doesn't have value or purpose, and it's not a fresh idea, either," the article states. "Boy Meets World and Full House still do well in reruns on various networks. It's partly for nostalgia, but it's also partly for the fact that the shows are timeless."

No definitive answers have been given on the status of a revival.
