On September 12, Vin Diesel, who plays Dominic Toretto in Fast and Furious 7, paid tribute to the late actor, Paul Walker, who portrayed Brian O'Connor in the movie, on Walker's 41st birthday.

Diesel posted a video on his Facebook page, from celebrations for Walker's birthday last year, the clip features Diesel, Walker and Tyrese Gibson. The cast and crew is seen on the set of filming, breaking for Walker to blow the candles off of two cakes for his birthday. He is then seen hugging it out with Diesel and Gibson.

Diesel also added a sombre caption:

"One year ago today...

Honoring Our brother..."

Walker died on Nov. 30 in a car crash in Santa Clarita, Calif. He was the passenger in a car being driven by his friend, race car driver Roger Rodas, who also died in the accident. The speeding car hit a tree and instantly burst into flames, causing both the actor and Rodas to die on the spot.

Fast and Furious 7 will take off from where Fast and Furious 6 left off. Wan took over the director's role from Justin Lin, who announced earlier in the year that he will step away from directing the franchise.

The cast for the seventh installment reprising their roles include Diesel, Luke Evans, Gibson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriguez. UFC Womens Bantam weight champion Ronda Rousey and ONG Bak star Tony Jaa will also star in the film.

The 40-year-old actor was halfway through filming Fast and Furious 7.
