Longmire, which was canceled last month after three seasons on A&E, continues to possess a cast that is heavily involved in the fight to find the series a new network.

'Longmire' Fans Unite For 'Twitter Stampede' To Save Series

In fact, star Lou Diamond Phillips (Henry) has not only encouraged fans who support the drama, but commended them on opening a new dialogue about "demographic reporting and philosophy."

A&E Might Have Considered 'Longmire Fans 'Too Old'

Phillips proceeded to retweet a number of responses from fans who had a thing or two to say about the recent allegations that Longmire was cancelled because fans were "too old" for advertisers.

Younger fans of the drama also jumped to defend the program, insisting that the series transcends age and categorization.

A number of other fans also agreed to watching the series with family members of different ages, suggesting perhaps that A&E's data might not have been completely sound.

Producers are still looking to find the show a new home and if they do manage to land a new network, Longmire will likely return for a fourth season during the later half of 2015.
