The news that they were expecting a child together only broke two months ago, but it looks like Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are now officially parents!

According to Us Weekly, the Place Beyond the Pines co-stars welcomed their baby girl on Friday, September 12, and in true form to most of the details surrounding their three-year relationship, were able to keep the news under wraps for a few days, though multiple sources have confirmed the story to the magazine.

Details concerning the couple's daughter, including her name are still not officially available, though her gender was a change from earlier reports, which claimed the two were expecting a little boy.

It was reported initially in July, just weeks after the news the couple was expecting was confirmed, that they were expecting a boy together.

According to Hollywood Life, decorations that were spotted being carted into Mendes' home saw loads of blue linens and toys. Sources also allegedly said that Gosling was overjoyed to have a son who he couldn't wait to teach how to play sports.

"Ryan is just so excited to have a son, "a source said at the time. "All he talks about is how he can't wait to teach him baseball and soccer. Eva thinks it's sweet."

OK! Magazine also reported that if it were a boy, the couple was reportedly leading towards naming their son Thomas (a nod towards Gosling's middle name), or Donna or Coral for a girl (nods to Gosling's mother's name and Mendes' mother's maiden name, Corrales).

It is unclear if the couple did indeed choose one of these names for their daughter.
