Dakota Johnson may play a good girl in Fifty Shades of Grey, but the actress also recently showed she's good in real life. According to a new report, the film's star saved horses from being slaughtered in Italy.

The Daily Mail reported on Tuesday that Johnson reportedly donated nearly $8,000 to Pantelleria Equestrian Center, to save many horses. Johnson was also shown visiting with many horses at the center in new photos.

Johnson wore a yellow flowing top and jeans, showing off her equestrian skills as she rode horses at the center. Johnson also showed off her new blonde hair, which is different then the brown hue she has in the Fifty Shades of Grey film.

Us Weekly revealed that Johnson made her big reveal during Stella McCartney's Green Carpet Collection event during London Fashion Week on Sunday, Sept. 14 with other stars such as Fifty Shades co-star Rita Ora and Ellie Goulding at the party.

Despite the sexual nature of the books, Johnson's co-star Jamie Dornan said the film wouldn't be hard to watch. "It's going to be sexual and everything, but it's not going to be something that's going to be hard to watch," Dornan said to The Today Show about the film. "What I've seen hasn't been particularly watered down, so, um, yeah, I thought it was interesting," Dornan also said about the sex scenes in the film. "So that's all I'll say about that."

Fifty Shades of Grey is out Valentine's Day 2015 in theatres.
