Swift recently tweeted about "less crime" happening in New York City because the "other" Olivia Benson was "on patrol."

This follows Hargitay's own tweet responding to the pop star naming her cat after her famous character. Hargitay posed in a collar with the name "Olivia Benson" hanging around her neck.

Swift recently talked about naming her cat after Benson and her first cat after Grey's Anatomy's main character Meredith Grey. Swift told Rolling Stone that Benson is "a stage-five clinger, for sure." But, Meredith is more "independent." She also likes naming her cats after "strong, complex, independent women."

Hargitay would probably agree with that assessment. "This character has evolved, which is the most exciting part of it," Hargitay told E! Online about Benson. "I feel in many ways she's a new character because she's gone through so much that has truly transformed her."

"I love her because I am challenged by her," Hargitay said. "I never know what's going to happen. She surprises me." Benson became a mom at the end of Season 15 to baby Noah.

Law and Order SVU returns Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 9/8c to NBC.
