One of the characters from Downton Abbey is about to take on a different exerience after having a share of rough patches in the past.

Will 'Downton Abbey' Get A Season 6?

On Wednesday, Irish Examiner posted an interview with actress Lily James who plays Lady Rose on the series. She mentioned how her character has had some mishaps in the past, but that ought to change in the fifth season.

"She's growing up a bit," the actress said about Rose. "I think, after all the drama of last year- falling in love about five times, having her heart broken and then realizing, actually, she's fine- I think she's ready to take life a bit more slowly. And she feels safe at Downton, which is a feeling Rose never had. She's always felt quite unstable and unloved. Poor Rose."

As difficult as this may be, there's is still hope that Rose might find someone worthy of her time although it could take a while.

"You can't deny that would be part of what's going to happen for Rose in the foreseeable future," James said. "Having said that, she's not going to settle for anything but head-over-heels love, which is hard to find."

It might take a while for Rose to find a suitor, but another man will return who cares for her- her father.

"We had the best scenes together, very moving and teary," James said. "He's such a perfect father, and then, on the other hand, she has this mother that's so difficult."

Downton Abbey Season 5 is expected to premiere in the United States in January 2015 on PBS.
