It has been a tense few months for Sami (Allison Sweeney) and her husband E.J. (James Scott), but the two are finally set to become a genuine couple once again on Days of Our Lives.

E.J. And Sami Reconnect

The two have been estranged for months, ever since their wedding ended with Sami revealing she knew that E.J. had cheated on her with Abigail (Kate Mansi)-which resulted in a devious revenge plot to destroy them both for betraying her. However, she has begun to soften recently, thanks to becoming estranged from her son, Will (Guy Wilson), after he wrote a scathing article about her for a local magazine. Her husband's efforts to stop his father, Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) from returning to town have also helped.

Now, the final guard around Sami's steely resolve will be removed, and she will not only resume a more loving relationship with her husband, but will also fall back into bed with him, allowing the couple to finally consummate their marriage.

Kristen Learns Theresa's Huge Secret

Sami's half-brother, Brady (Eric Martsolff) has also been having a tense few months, as his father, John (Drake Hogestyn) has been in a seemingly irreversible coma, after an incident where Brady believed he had knocked him out with a fireplace poker while in a drunken stupor. Added to his problems, Brady has been dealing with conflicting emotions over both Theresa (Jen Lilley) and his ex-fiancée, Kristen (Eileen Davidson).

However, Kristen promised she had found a miracle drug which would reverse John's coma and help him wake up-and gave the drug to the doctors in exchange for Eric (Greg Vaughan) not testifying against her for drugging and raping him. But when the drug appears to fail at bringing John back from the brink of death, Brady will suddenly feel betrayed by Kristen once more-and will lash out at her for lying and scheming to get her way.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
