With casting getting close for the next Bond movie, it seems like a British actress who has made a mark on one of the biggest shows in the world could be headed to try and woo Daniel Craig in the next installment? But is this the role she was meant for?

Swedish Dancer Rumored To Be A Possible Bond Girl In 'Bond 24'

Speaking with The Sun on Saturday, Downton Abbey star Joanne Froggatt talked about the rumor that she auditioned for Bond 24 and whether she would like to play a Bond girl in the movie.

"I can't comment really on that one." Froggatt said. "(But) who wouldn't like to be a Bond girl? I am not the Bond girl type. I would probably be more a Q or an M...we'll see. I don't know."

'Interstellar' Cinematographer Joining 'Bond 24,' Will Shoot It On Film

Froggatt, who most recently was in the film Filth with James McAvoy, is yet another name on the list of possibilities that includes Lea Seydoux and Penelope Cruz. But with Q and M already cast, it would seem that the only way to get in would be as a Bond girl.

The actress has earned acclaim for her role in Downton Abbey, but getting the gig as a Bond girl in the next movie could be her massive debut in film. It also would allow for a complex and interesting character to be beside Bond in the movie.

Bond 24 has Sam Mendes returning as the director with Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and John Logan coming back to write the script. The film is currently in pre-production with an anticipated production start to be in November.

The film is released on November 6, 2015.
