Dancing With the Stars pro Mark Ballas is disappointed in the lower scores given to his and Sadie Robertson's dance, while surprised that other couples got 10s.

Dancing With The Stars Fans Not Impressed With Julianne Hough?

Ballas danced the Viennese Waltz with Robertson during Week 3 of the competition. The pair received all 8s from the judges, giving them a score of 32 out of 40. However, Ballas believes that they deserved 9s.

"Really proud of Sadie tonight! I thought her technique was great; I was really impressed with her frame, considering it was her first ballroom dance," Ballas told HollywoodLife after the show. "I was a little underwhelmed and disappointed in the scoring. Carrie Ann Inaba said it was one of her favorites of the night, but then scored the same as everyone else. I felt like it could have been 9's across the board."

The night featured two couples receiving all 10s from the judges, giving them the first perfect scores of the season. Bethany Mota and Derek Hough and Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy received perfect scores for their respective Jazz dances.

Ballas feels that it may have been too early for the judges to give out 10s.

"It was a little early in the season, in my opinion, for 10's. I've never seen 10's this early in the competition, but I felt that the dances that got them definitely earned them," he admitted. "I would have given those dances 10's, too! But I was surprised that the judges gave them out this early in the season."

Either way, Ballas and Robertson have done well for themselves so far in the competition, receiving scores about 30 in each of the three weeks of competition. They are one of 10 couples remaining on the show. Next week they will be dancing the Samba.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
