Agents of SHIELD's Grant Ward certainly didn't have a happy childhood, and the imprisoned traitor will continue to deal with his devilish family in season 2.

The ABC series will introduce viewers to Ward's (Brett Dalton) older brother, Christian Ward (Tim DeKay), during episode 6, "A Fractured House." DeKay played a white hat on White Collar, but if Grant's stories are to be believed, the elder Ward is more diabolical than society is aware.

Then again, he is a senator, so take from that what you will.

A new clip from episode 3, "Making Friends and Influencing People," reveals that the Wards are actually a well-respected family (see video below). However, the reasons behind young Grant's incarceration indicate that his family - Christian, in particular - was so abusive (such as trying to drown the youngest Ward in a well) that Grant was driven to try to burn the family home with Christian inside.

Hopefully this tangled tale of familial discord will unwind as season 2 progresses, but it looks like the beloved senator could cause a few problems for SHIELD. That goes double if he's the wealthy senator General Talbot has allied himself with.
