Ike Lochte, the mother of gold medal winning heart throb Ryan Lochte, has let the cat out of the bag, on her very own son.  Although she described herself as a strong and emotional supporter of the star swimmer, it is what she said about the Olympian's approach to women that should soon have people buzzing.

"He goes out on one-night stands," she told TODAY.

"He's not able to give fully to a relationship because he's always on the go," Ike continued.

Lochte's mom along with the rest of the family, had sat down with "TODAY" host Matt Lauer, in order to talk about Ryan's background and the impact he's making on the summer games.

"Everything he has done has been to the max. He's unique, loving, and he challenges himself all the time," Ike said.

Lochte will turn 28 years old on Friday August 3rd.  However, Ike says they will wait to celebrate until the very Saturday he is done competing.

Amidst the London Games, the 6 foot 2 inch swimmer still continues to correspond with fans via Twitter, as he posted the following before hitting the sack on Monday night:

"GOODNIGHT #LochteNation & thank u for being the best fans.  Always said it b4 & I'll say it forever.. I wouldn't be anything without u."

As for Ike, she's unfortunately not hip to the Twitter game, but she does send her son love via text when she's not around him for meets.

She likes to keep her messages simple: "I say, have fun, and I love you," she explained.

Lochte will next compete in the 4 x 200 freestyle competition which will air tonight on NBC.  Coverage begins at 8pm ET.
