The release date is coming soon for the next Hunger Games movie and it looks like Lionsgate is getting fans acquainted with the main cogs in the rebellion that will dominate the final two movies of the series.

Eight new images were released on Thursday that include new glimpses at major characters such as Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), President Snow (Donald Sutherland), Plutarch Heavensbee (Philip Seymour Hoffman), Haymitch (Woody Harrelson), President Coin (Julianne Moore), Effie (Elizabeth Banks) and Messalia (Evan Ross).

The new images, put out by Geek Tyrant, continue to show what the rebellion and war have done to the characters of the film and how they are handling this new idea of constant fighting that is beginning to tear apart what they have held dear.

Mockingjay: Part 1 follows Katniss as she leads the districts of Panem in a rebellion against the tyrannical and corrupt Capitol. As the war that will determine the fate of Panem escalates, Katniss must decipher for herself who she can trust and what needs to be done, with everything she cares for in the balance.

The film is directed by Francis Lawrence from a script by Danny Strong. The film stars Jennifer, Liam Hemsworth, Hutcherson, Jena Malone, Sutherland, Wright, Harrelson, Banks, Hoffman, Stanley Tucci and Sam Claflin. It also introduces Moore as President Coin.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 will be released in theaters on November 21 followed by part 2, which opens in 2015.
