Teresa Giudice arrived to her sentencing on Thursday in Newark holding hands with her husband, Joe, as the two waited to hear their fate.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star was sentenced by Judge Salas to serve 15 months in prison while her husband and television co-star received 41 months for their involvement in a federal fraud case, an official statement from the District of New Jersey said. Teresa will begin her sentence on Jan. 5, 2015 and Joe will serve after his wife's release.

Aside from their prison sentence, both Teresa and Joe will have two years of "supervised release." They will also have to give up $414,588. Additionally, Joe received a fine of $10,000 while Teresa has to pay $8,000.

The couple, who pleaded guilty in March to the multiple charges, were convicted of wire fraud and submitting false applications to receive loans.

"The Giudices together deceived financial institutions with patently false loan applications; were dishonest when they sought the protection of the bankruptcy court and hid assets and income from the trustee; and Giuseppe Giudice cheated the government by failing to pay taxes on years of significant income," U.S. Attorney Fishman said. "When they pleaded guilty, both admitted swearing to statements they knew were lies. Prison is the appropriate penalty for these serious financial crimes."

TMZ reported that the couple will speak about their sentencing Monday during a Watch What Happens Live special with host Andy Cohen.

Many took to Twitter to express their concern for the couple and their four children, including former Real Housewives of New York star Jill Zarin.

"No matter what you think of Teresa and Joe.. Our hearts are breaking. I am physically sick. Please pray for their children and family," Zarin wrote.

She added, "I am in shock. I really hoped the judge would show more leniency. Please give her space and time to process this."
