The Mentalist's Dennis Abbott will get a blast from the past during season 7.

'The Mentalist' Episode 7 Title Revealed, When Will It Film?

The FBI agent will be reunited with his former boss, Special Agent Bill Peterson, who Entertainment Weekly reports will be played by the Good Wife's Dylan Baker.

Employed by the DEA, Peterson will be a hard line agent that worked at the Rio Bravo station with Abbott (Rockmond Dunbar). Unfortunately for Jane's boss, Entertainment Weekly reports that Peterson will have a bit of dirt on Agent Abbott. Perhaps Peterson will get along with Agent Vega (Josie Loren), who is expected to be a by-the-book newbie on Abbott's team.

It is currently unknown which episode Peterson will appear in.

The Mentalist will open its seventh and final season with "Nothing But Blue Skies," which will be followed by "The Greybar Hotel," "Orange Blossom Ice Cream," an untitled episode 4 (formally referred to as "Pink Rocks), the Simon Baker-directed "The Silver Briefcase," "Green Light," and "Little Yellow House."
