Michael Muhney Sends Kind Words To His Y&R Replacement 

The former Young and the Restless actor announced on Thursday that he will star in another film.

"Signed on to do my 3rd film in as many months! Wait until you see what I'm up to in this one...a gritty drama set in Las Vegas," he tweeted on Oct. 2.

The news comes shortly after Muhney revealed he would play in an upcoming film titled Search Engines. He recently teased fans about the role tweeting, "Straight? Gay? Labels. Pushing the limits filming my role in the new movie 'Search Engines.' Such a well-written/directed film. #inspired."

Muhney will also appear in Back to Christmas, an ION Television premiering on Saturday, Dec. 20 at 9 p.m.

The actor, who played Adam Newman on Y&R since 2009, officially confirmed his exit from the CBS soap opera via social media in August. "Just got an official call, although things got very close, I will not be returning to Y&R. That part of my life is over. Moving on..." he wrote on Twitter. "I was hopeful for a return, but now I'm hopeful for the future. Now you'll just have to promise to tune in to my future projects! #lovexo."
